Chapter 11 tells us about synching offline, caching online database data locally for offline usage. I appreciated the helpful summaries of just what happened in that chapter. Those sections allow us to catch our breaths before taking the plunge in the next part. This book helped me to clean up my act by showing me a pro workflow. It also gave me confidence to experiment with integrating more of the PhoneGap iOS device functionality into my apps, which I have yet to do.

You need to actually write code on a machine with a reasonably sized screen and keyboard and mouse. PhoneGap lets you do this. And all the major browsers are supported by now. Also, you don't strictly need to test your code on all these browsers.

This is good but, in chapter 2, the book should guide the reader to skip to chapter 3, if reader is using phonegap 3.
The bootstrap modal dialog example does not work. It contains a "hide" class which prevents the modal to display. The example also lacks "modal-dialog" and "modal-content" divs.
The source code of the sample application, which is developed throughout the book, is said to reside in "[ I downloaded the source code package of the book from publisher web site, and i saw that chapter 4's source code does not exist in the package. I suggest to read the publisher's other Phonegap book PhoneGap 2.
